Echinacea pallida - Pale Purple Coneflower

Pale Purple Coneflower is a native perennial that has an upright habit with coarse, hairy dark green foliage.  Rigid stems sporting fragrant pale purple coneflowers with thin drooping petals and an orange cone blooms throughout summer.  Grows best in dry to average soils.  Tolerant of poor or clay soils, and tolerates heat and humidity.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance.  Susceptible to aster yellows disease and eriophyid mites.  Heat and drought tolerant.

LANDSCAPE USES:  Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Woodland Garden, Rock Gardens, Groundcover, Native Gardens, Medicine Garden, Kitchen Garden, and Containers.

COMPANION PLANTS:  Bee Balm, Liatris, Baby’s Breath
