The Governor Lupine is a compact herbaceous perennial with a dense basal mound of narrow palmate foliage. Tightly packed spires rise above the foliage sporting large purple-blue and cream sweet-pea like flowers that bloom from late spring to mid summer. Flowers best in full sun and rich, moist, well-drained soils.
